February Homework for March

THEMING A CLASS - Practicum A (you have 3 classes to teach to the public before training is complete— for next month have at least one complete)!

Add full Sequence with Theme - go out and teach to family, friends, or community!  Send me your theme based on the template provided in manual (2 pages to fill in), you can keep the sequence the same as our basic class, add some of your own flair and an extra pose —  back bend and/or twist.

The written work to submit:  
Sequence or outline - this will teach you to know names of poses, English and Sanskrit name, break the sequence down from beginning, warm-up, work portion, cool down, and final relaxation meditation.  If it helps to write in the inhale/exhale, do it!  For an example (manual 1 has posture names — use your books for postures or look up online):

 

  • Centering in seated posture (sukhasana or easy seat)

  • Transition to lying down position and prep for rolling Bridge Pose (Setu Bandha Sarvangasana) inhale rise up, exhale lower down

  • Apanasana (downward air posture) inhale to straighten arms, exhale to hug the legs in
